Lock-In AmplifiersLock-in amplifiers are used to measure the amplitude and phase of repetitive AC signals buried in noise. They achieve this by acting as a narrow bandpass filter which removes unwanted noise while allowing through the signal which is to be measured. The AC frequency of the signal to be measured is used as a reference signal to set the passband region of the filter, and must be supplied to the lock-in amplifier along with the unknown signal.
The BIG News: The new Model 450S Lock-in is a DIGITAL DSP dual phase unit, controlled via Ethernet or RS232 from your computer browser using supplied software. It is the least expensive DSP lockin on the market, has 100 dB dynamic reserve, and will blow the socks off the competition! Well, maybe not... the 450S frequency range is 0.001 Hz to 200 kHz so yes, the more expensive ones beat us on that, but otherwise... The 430, 432, 441 and 442 are LOW COST OEM circuit board level products
The 432 and 442 feature RS232 digital control interfaces, but are analog in operation.
