Fluorescence Spectrometers

We are exclusive North American Agents for Edinburgh Instruments Analytical Instruments Division, leading manufacturer of modular Fluorescence Lifetime Spectrometers and Laser Flash Photolysis Spectrometers.  You may see what Edinburgh Instruments has to say on the subject by clicking here.

Edinburgh Instruments' spectrometers utilize TCSPC, "Time Correlated Single Photon Counting" while many if not all competitors use what is know as the Phase Technique.  We believe that TCSPC is superior to the phase method.   To review the mathematical argument regarding the comparison of TCSPC and Phase methods, click here.

The Edinburgh product line provides quite a few basic choices and then, being fully modular, further allows significant additional customization according to customer requirements.  The following table outlines the choices and will let you click to see basic 2 page descriptions of each instrument:
What Click On
Fluorescence Lifetime Spectrometer
Steady State Fluorimeter
Compact picosecond Lifetime Spectrometer
Compact Inexpensive Lifetime Spectrometer
Miniature Lifetime Spectrometer
Compact Lifetime Spectrometer
Laser Flash Photolysis Spectrometer

The information you will get by opening the documents in the table above is limited.  That is, there is a LOT MORE to our story.  There is no substitute for phoning or emailing us.  We like to arrange telephone conference calls with Edinburgh Instruments' engineers when serious questions arise.  Another major resource is to let us mail you the printed information.  Edinburgh has recently published a new 28 page brochure which has considerable depth on these products, especially the Fxx920 family although the modularity of pieces gives it applicability to the others as well.  The Fxx920 family brochure is a 5.7 MB pdf which you can get by clicking here or ask and we will mail it.

Finally, the new LP920 brochure is ready now; click here to view it.

We hope to hear from you in person.
